Ariana Grande, the singer, is building excitement for the release of “Wicked.”

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the 30-year-old shared a silhouette image of herself portraying Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular Broadway show.

The snapshot depicted Grande in full costume, adorned in her gown and tiara, holding a scepter in hand.

The “thank u, next” singer signaled that the countdown to the highly anticipated movies has officially begun, noting that there are “nine months, 26 days, [and] three hours” until the release of the first part.

Grande also reposted a fan’s image on Instagram marking “300 days until Wicked.”

Her posts follow a heartfelt message from her co-star Cynthia Erivo, who portrays Elphaba, shared on Instagram as filming wrapped up.

Unable to find adequate words to express her emotions, Erivo wrote, “The universe will take things away to make space for the grand gifts it has waiting for us.”

“This moment, this film, these people, this cast, this crew, this director, my Glinda, were the grandest gift I could ever have asked for,” Erivo, 37, added, alongside a photo of her character’s shadow on stage. “I hope when you meet her, you’ll love her as much and as fiercely as I do. And with that I say, that’s a wrap for me, Elphie out!! 💚💚💚.”

Grande also shared a humorous TikTok video featuring her and Erivo engrossed in conversation on the set of Wicked.

In the video, the two actresses appeared completely unaware of their surroundings, chatting away while sitting side by side. They seemed oblivious to the fact that someone was filming them nearby.

Captioning the post, Grande wrote, “One of our favorite videos ever,” revealing it was filmed during rehearsals for the upcoming movies in 2022.

Wicked will hit theaters in two parts, with Wicked: Part One premiering on Nov. 27, 2024, followed by Wicked Part Two on Nov. 26, 2025.
