British lifestyle retailer The White Company has selected Paula Nickolds, the current general merchandise head at Sainsbury’s, as its new Chief Executive. Paula Nickolds will take over from Mary Homer, who plans to step down this summer after seven years in the role. Nickolds, known for her transformative work at Sainsbury’s with brands such as Tu, Argos, and Habitat, will assume her position in April, ensuring a seamless transition for the company during its next phase of evolution and growth.
With over 30 years of experience in the retail sector, including leadership roles at John Lewis, Nickolds is recognized as a values-driven leader with a track record of excellence in customer service. The White Company, renowned for its minimalist luxury offerings in clothing, beauty, and homeware, expressed enthusiasm about Nickolds’ appointment, citing her wealth of retail experience across various lifestyle categories.
