According to the police, a shooting incident in Kansas City, Missouri, resulted in the death of a woman and over 20 injuries stemmed from an altercation following the NFL Super Bowl victory celebration, an incident with no apparent clear connection to extremism.

Three individuals have been detained as “suspects” in the investigation, stated Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves in a press conference on February 15th, a day after the shooting incident.
According to the police chief, several firearms were recovered from the scene of the incident.
“This seems to be a dispute among some individuals that ended in gunfire,” implying that the violence erupted spontaneously during the celebration rather than being a targeted attack. “Preliminary investigation results indicate no connection to terrorism or domestic extremist violence.”
The victory parade celebrating the win of the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 NFL Super Bowl took place in Kansas on February 14th and attracted a million fans. However, gunshots rang out as the event was winding down, causing many people to flee for cover.
The police updated the number of gunshot victims to 23, ranging in age from 8 to 47. Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a well-known personality of the local radio station, was the sole fatality.
