When questioned about the rumors surrounding Beyoncé’s rendition of “Jolene,” the country music legend expressed her excitement, stating, “Well, I think she has! I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene,’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that.”

Parton also shared her admiration for Beyoncé, praising her as a “beautiful girl and a great singer.” The two artists have maintained a mutual appreciation for each other over the years, with Parton acknowledging Beyoncé and her mother as fans of her work.

Last month, Parton congratulated Beyoncé on her Billboard Hot Country number one single, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which premiered during the 2024 Super Bowl. Beyoncé’s success on the country chart marked a historic moment as the first Black woman to achieve such a feat.

Parton expressed her anticipation for Beyoncé’s full country album, emphasizing that she “can’t wait to hear the full album.” Beyoncé announced Act II during the Super Bowl, signaling a shift to country music after the release of dance-focused tracks in the first act of her Renaissance album.

The Grammy-winning artist has been dropping hints about her venture into country music, notably appearing at the 2024 Grammys in attire reminiscent of Western style, further fueling anticipation for her upcoming album release.
