As predicted, the film that has made a big impact in recent times, “Oppenheimer,” a story about the father of the atomic bomb, won big at the 96th Oscars, with 7 golden statues, becoming the film with the most awards at this year’s ceremony. Specifically, the film’s 7 awards include: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Supporting Actor. In addition to winning awards for “Best Cinematography,” “Best Editing,” and “Best Original Score,” “Oppenheimer” also helped director Christopher Nolan, actor Robert Downey Jr., and actor Cillian Murphy make their debut on the prestigious Gold Statue list.

“Oppenheimer” is a film that has brought prestigious awards to both the director and the main and supporting actors of the film.

With “Oppenheimer,” Christopher Nolan has delivered a serious yet intriguing portrait of J. Robert Oppenheimer (portrayed by Cillian Murphy), the leader of the Manhattan Project to produce nuclear weapons. The compelling story has grossed nearly $1 billion in global box office revenue.

Holding the Best Director statue, Nolan expressed: “Cinema is just over 100 years old. We don’t know where this incredible journey will lead from here. Being a part of it means the world to me.” He thanked actors Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., star Emily Blunt, and many members of the film crew.

Christopher Nolan is considered a great filmmaker who can sell movie tickets with his name alone. Nolan’s influence extends beyond Hollywood and reaches the global cinema scene. The members of the Academy recognized his achievements with “Oppenheimer” by giving the film a total of 13 Oscar nominations in January.

Moved to receive the award, actor Cillian Murphy – who won the Best Actor award in “Oppenheimer,” portraying the “father of the atomic bomb” – said:

“Thanks to the Academy, thanks to director Chris Nolan, and everyone. I’m Irish, and I’m very proud to be standing here tonight. We made a film together about the creator of the atomic bomb. Whether good or bad, we all live in Oppenheimer’s world. So I really want to dedicate this to the peacemakers everywhere.”

“Oppenheimer” also marks the first Oscar win in the career of star Robert Downey Jr. “I want to thank my horrific childhood and the Academy. I want to thank my veterinarian, I mean my wife – Susan Downey. She found me, a growling pet, and loved me back to life.” The actor also thanked “Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan and his co-stars. Working with them has made him a better man.

Appearing in “Oppenheimer” shows that Robert Downey Jr. has completely shed the Iron Man armor and the excitement of superhero films, turning to quieter, more profound works. Robert proves himself not just a mere entertainment star but also a seasoned actor with over 50 years of experience.

After “Oppenheimer,” the film “Poor Things” – a blend of comedy and science fiction – has also been mentioned several times as a winner in the categories of “Outstanding Hair and Makeup,” “Outstanding Production Design,” and “Outstanding Costume Design.” The film also brought a golden statue to lead actress Emma Stone for her stellar performance as Bella Baxter in “Poor Things.”

Sharing her emotions upon receiving the award, actress Emma Stone said: “I am incredibly happy to be part of this film. I am extremely honored to share this with every actor, with every member of the film crew, with everyone who has devoted their love, care, and talent to the making of this film. Thank you!”

At this year’s Oscars, the film “The Zone of Interest” from British cinema surpassed other heavy contenders from Italy, Japan, Spain, and Germany to be honored in the Best International Film category. This is the first time in history that a British film has won this Oscar category.
